BS.Player is a free media player for various formats, such as mpg, Avi, WMV, and mp3. The software is a stripped down version of BS.Player PRO only works properly.
Years of experience
The advanced BS.Player is a real all-rounder. The player takes screenshots of your videos and it supports subtitles and you can adjust the size of it. This is a fine option because subtitles are often the small.
The application supports bookmarks so you simply divide a movie into chapters. BS.Player has no problem with files that are not completely downloaded or wrapped as ZIP or RAR files. Incomplete and compressed videos can be played too.
Not all options are available in the free version of BS.Player. You will have to do without internet video and DVD option. You also have to be careful during the installation: if you do not want advertising and changes in your address then you must uncheck a number of options!
Ease of Use
BS.Player is perhaps not the best program on the market but makes up for it with ease. You can easily switch between full and small representation of the player, and with just a few clicks open playlists of what you want to hear.
BS.Player has a lot at home and succeeds where few competitors fail in the flawless playback of DivX and XviD. However, it does that it in a very old-fashioned and cheap-looking interface.
BS.Player was and is one of the most powerful players on the market. The same market should, of course, be supported financially. There are similar free players who do have DVD support, such as VLC Media Player. Nevertheless BS.Player works well and gets the kudos to the compatibility with Divx and Xvid.
BS.Player supports the following formats
AVI, MPEG 1, MPEG 2, XVID, DIVX, 3IVX, OGG, OGM, Matroska, ASF, WMV, WAV, MP2, MP3, JPEG, POISON, BMP
