With the free PowerPoint Viewer, you can view your presentations created with PowerPoint 2010, PowerPoint 2007, or even older editions. The official Microsoft application not only opens files of the classic PPT format but also more modern types like PPTX and PPSX.
PowerPoint Viewer is a reader, not a processor. so the software comes in very handy when you want to view a presentation on a computer without PowerPoint. To actually create a presentation, you’ll still need PowerPoint (or free competitors like OpenOffice or LibreOffice).
PowerPoint Viewer 2010 will open presentations in a simple window. Bottom right you’ll find two arrows with which you go to the previous or next slide. Via the menu button you can go full screen, or print it. Although Microsoft indicates that the PowerPoint Viewer is for PowerPoint 97-2010 files, the program also opens ODT files (.odt is the standard format for OpenOffice presentations).
Don’t have PowerPoint or you have to give a presentation on a computer without the software? Then you open it quickly with Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2010.
