Swiftkey gets smart predictive text and more Material Design

The popular keyboard app Swiftkey is now able to predict two words in one go. The app features more Material Design and a new settings menu.

Double Word Prediction

The new feature, which is called “Double Word Prediction”, is available in Swiftkey Beta, test version of Swiftkey which appeared a few months ago in Google Play. By Double Word Prediction, the keyboard app now predict two words in advance while typing. With this, you type a lot faster according to Swiftkey, which can save you time. The app does not always double text prediction, but only when words connect logically to the phrase that you typed. Double Word Prediction is available in all languages ‚Äč‚Äčthat Swiftkey works.

Further, the Swiftkey Beta-app is provided of a small number of renewals. For example, the emoji keyboard has been improved, making commonly used emoji be found more quickly. In addition, the settings menu is completely renewed and there are more Material Design elements present.
An example is the round action button inside the app, which lets you quickly switch to the keyboard. Also new is the Carbon Light theme, which is also designed in accordance with the Material Design. The theme looks beautiful and makes somewhat reminiscent of Google’s keyboard.
